One of the biggest perks to being the Canberra Insider is that I have the opportunity to illuminate the creative talent we have here.

Canberra houses an amazing array of fashion designers that are often overshadowed because of our location and the perception that Canberra is all roundabouts and politics.

The truth is, Canberra is in the midst of a creative boom and our designers and other creatives are making their sturdy mark on the fashion map.

Annie Brown loves fashion. She also lives it. And breaths it. And daydreams about it.

It’s no surprise then, that Annie is making her mark as a fashion and personal stylist- and is loving every minute of it.

Having worked in fashion for over a decade, Annie is inspired by fashion every day and helps to inspire others in her role as a personal stylist.

Growing up in Canberra, Annie has had stints in Sydney, Oxford and London where her career in fashion really took off. For now, she is back in her home-town and is excited about how Canberra is developing creatively. Canberra is officially on the fashion map!

Annie is a resident stylist for Westfield, where she advises women and men about their personal style, takes them personal shopping, helps them organize their wardrobes and is involved in events and workshops. Annie finds nothing more rewarding than seeing the transformations of her clients and how their confidence develops along with their style.

Annie also regularly styles commercial and editorial shoots and revels in creating a beautiful image. She has also worked on fashion shows and events, working in collaboration with many notable fashion companies and photographers, both in Australia and the UK.

One of Annie’s dreams was to own a fashion boutique and she did just that a few years ago. Annie likes to push the boundaries of fashion and her store embodied this, stocking designer vintage fashion and accessories and designs from emerging labels.

Annie is a regular fashion blogger and has just signed on as a fashion 'Insider' for Stylehunter.com.
